Waking up to gang graffiti (that fades away)
(too old to reply)

I've had what could be described as a waking dream on a few occasions where I would wake up to find gang graffiti covering my bedroom walls. This will persist for several minutes before the gang 'graffiti' fades away and the walls/room then look normal.

Did anyone else have this kind of experience, waking up and finding that your bedroom has temporarily turned into a run down/abandoned and trashed place?

I gotta say, that's a "new one on me"! It does, however, have some resemblance to the "sleep paralysis" condition, where people feel "paralyzed" while transitioning between the dreaming / sleeping state and the waking / conscious state.

IF this happens often enough, *you may wish to consider* asking aloud: "What does this writing mean?" and listen for a response.

I'm going to go off the rails for a moment here, but
I do wonder if what I am seeing might be a time
distortion, like I might be seeing my building
in it's abandoned state years from now.

I wasn't dreaming about gangs or abandoned houses
before waking up and seeing this, so it strikes me as odd.

I could understand if these were just random
patterns in my FOV, but the graffiti was referencing
specific gangs in my city in legible text (but as
the kind of scraw gang graffiti typically is).

"have some resemblance to the "sleep paralysis" condition,"

I've had sleep paralysis before and it terrified me whenever it happened. But
this was different. I didn't feel paralyzed,
and I was able to move around during
the 'gang graffiti' episodes. I did lay
there, feeling a lot of
confusion, wondering why my bedroom
walls were covered in gang graffiti, how
the gangsters broke in and did their
vandalism without me waking up,
wondering if I somehow ended up inside
an abandoned building and how I got there.

It is very unnerving, making me think I was
in some kind of danger, but then I get the
sense of relief when the graffiti fades away
and my bedroom looks normal

More specifically, it "resonates *very* strongly with" the incident of "the Writing on the Wall" from the Old Testament Book of Daniel 5, biblehub.com/daniel/5.htm (which you *may well* consider reading, just for some contrast / perspective into the issue.)

So please take this as a "word of advice" as if "from a different perspective" rather than "as Gospel Truth," as some may say, however: it *may well be* that the writing is a way of "warning" / cautioning you regarding any particular path or "flow of thought" you may be following in your life.

Here's a "positive" word of advice / observation from experience:
"Better choices result in better consequences; worse choices result in worse consequences."
Take and use that that as you will (or not, your choice.)

Again, consider it as a "cautionary dream" of what might happen if something fails to improve at the core level of one's being / existence / understanding of "Reality" (which conforms to thought, incidentally.)
